A
load train Factory Train FT516 from Neumaier is in use at Dethleffs GmbH &
Co. KG in Isny, Allgäu. Right from the start, while planning the new hall the
load train was part of the plan. At Dethleffs’ the load train supplies the
complete production hall with in total 5 fixed routes. During this time the
load train exchanges 52 load trolleys within 72 minutes. This is possible as
the load train Factory Train is equipped with three EF6 load carriers picking
up 9 trolleys per route.
Philip Roltsch, Head of Logistics, is enthusiastic about the load train Factory Train from Neumaier: “Our load train here is the ‘cardiovascular system’. The heart is the production, the production chain, and the circulatory system is our load train. From the very first day that the load train was put into operation, it was able to master the tasks excellently and therefore we are more than happy with the load train that is now fully operational here”.
Dethleffs GmbH & Co. KG in Isny, Allgäu is a nationally based, German manufacturer of mobile homes and caravans and is part of the Erwin Hymer Group.
‘Not
without my family!’ decided Arist Dethleffs in 1931 and designed the first
caravan in Germany as he, a ski pole and horsewhip manufacturer, wanted his
family around him when travelling for work for longer periods. Back then he
called the caravan a “live-in car”. The word “leisure” was not well known in
those days and a family holiday was a privilege with tourism in the early
stages of development. With the invention of Dethleffs Caravans a new era
began, especially for the company, that later on focused completely on caravan
and mobile home production.
